I picked up a 1993 F2, I got it for $50 having to tow it home. It sat for a week and then I flushed the radiator, new battery, changed oil, put in a new air filter, changed the plugs, the carb was cleaned and checked by a good friend of mine and ordered a new kick stand. The thing has been running ever since, I have not road a bike in many years so I went through the MSF class last week and have now put 837 miles on it. I know the petcock needs replaced along with new brake pads and possibly the rectifier since I’m having issues with the battery keeping a charge. So far the engine has run like a champ after getting a couple tanks through it and the bike handles great, I’m going ride it for a month and if nothing major comes up I’ll have it raised and work on getting a new/complete fairing kit. I was happy to come across this bike and this forum, I forgot how much I loved to ride.

$50 ?!?!?!?!? Outstanding!

Glad its turned out to be a great bike for you. Sounds like it just needed some tender loving care.

Kudos on taking the MSF Course. Many of us here recommend to everyone, whether they have riding experience or not.

We're glad you found us. Welcome aboard!

$50?!?!?

Can't beat that kind of deal. And your time fixing is free when it's for yourself. I too took a few years away from riding. And since been back in the saddle, lovin every minute of it!!
