I am looking for my first bike and am leaning pretty heavily towards an F2....so i figured this would be a good place to start reading and such. I currently own a 2004 GTO (lotsa mods/hp but am now looking for my first bike. Just saying hello and introducing myself!

welcome and enjoy the site. gotta post up some pics of the goat. that is one of my favorite cages. and good luck with the search for a bike. check into taking a msf course and take a look at the classified section on this site. there are quite a few nice used bikes on there.

I think i located an F2 last night within driving distance of my town. It has a salvage title, but the only things needed are an ignition, windshiled, and the plastics are beat up...they will work to learn on, but one fist sized hole and some small cracks will have to be replaced down the line if i want to resell...

it is a 1992 cbr600 F2 with 22000 miles, listed for 1,999. Do you all think this is a fair price? Ill have to invest maybe 60 for the starter (one price i saw on ebay) and and other 60 for a windshield (ebay), but other than that it supposedly has been put through tis paces, works fine...they said they put it on a dyno and check all its electrical ok. Opinions?
