I'm Ben. Nice to be here. I'm currently still on my CBT and L plates so my steed is a 2017 Aprilia RS4 125. I've passed my theory test and was due to book my mods 1 and 2 but then lockdown happened blah blah blah. I had already purchased my big boy bike in anticipation which is why I am here. I am the proud owner of a T Reg Honda CBR919RR with 22k on the clocks backed up by FSH and previous MOT's. The bike has fallen on hard times though. The fuel tank is the only original bit of bodywork left on the bike. It wears some rather eye catching/watering candy white and red flame fairings. They are not my thing at all and I'm in the process of painting them black till I can get some replacement ones. Mechanically the bike needs a bit of work. Rear shock is gone, new tyres, battery, chain and sprockets and brake pads all need replacing and the wheels need stripping back and powder coating. Nice little project I think!!!!
I still firmly in the eye watering camp. I'm not sure what's worse.....that someone actually paid cash money for them or that I bought it with them 😂😂
The fuel tank is the same colour as the tank bag which leads me to suspect that the bike originally had this colour scheme
As much as I'd like to splurge on a set of these I'd rather get the mechanicals sorted first 👍👍

I find myself drawn to "tastefully tacky" on bikes but it's definitely worse that someone paid to have that done! Unless you are an actual superhero... then it would be acceptable... lol.
Also not a fan of flames. Good luck on your beautification project.
thanks fword. I'm pleased to say that the flames are no more.
Going down a different route with the bike now........
managed to find a set of used race fairings for an absolute steal. I'm based in the UK so the bike will be going down the daytime MOT route.
A box of parts arrived at work this week containing air and oil filters, fork seal kit, YSS rear shock and spark plugs. Still need to get chain and sprockets, brake pads, battery and tyres. The bike is turning into a nice little winter project ready for next year 😀😀
