New member / rider from South Carolina
Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Cole.
Already posted one time in the "Wanted" forum. Was looking for a 600.
Well, as fate would have it, I found an unpassable deal on a 05 1000 RR.
It's the red model. All red. I dodnt really like the red. I really wanted a black bike.
But, like I said it was too cheap to pass up.
I want to tell you my reasoning to begin riding. I want to ride to work everyday instead of my V8 truck. I live 30 miles from work. Actually, I work for Honda. I build the atv's.
Never riden a road bike before. Real familiar with dirtbikes, and have raced atv's for a few years.
Now... I gotta say that I have done alot of reading about the 1000 on this forum, and there are way too many posts saying that the 1000 is not for a beginner of road bikes. Now Im worried. All I want to do is take my 30 minute 2 times each day at the 55 mph speed limit. This is my purpose. I am concerned about this. Basicilly, I did alot of reading that told me I would defenitely wreck a 1000.
I have no plans to show off, act crazy or even carry passengers.
Anyhow, just wanted to say hello.

I rode off road before I picked up street begining of last year! Just like dirt, respect what your are ridding and you will get the feel quick. Act as if no one sees you while your out there and last don't limit your ridding to work and back because there are so many leasure rides you could make and enjoy! Good luck with your new bike and I wish you the best.
