I've own my Honda s for many many moons, I got 1994 CB 1000 and 1996 CBR 1000F. They are a cool combo to own, I also had a 2000 CBR 1100xx, but just get along better with the 1996 better. I got a problem with the 1996 and looking for some help. But that a different thread.

Welcome!
I’d be interested in learning what your thoughts on the Blackbird are. I’ve watched one for quite a while.

for hat ever reason, I just never got in tune with it in the turns. Mine was all stock, then I added a two brothers exhaust system and a fuel pressure regulator from a 2003, (slighter higher fuel pressure) that got it to where 1st gear was a problem keeping the front on the ground and not hitting the rev limiter. I should also point out that I live in Wisconsin no ware near hwys, So all I do is back road riding. So a heavy high speed bike isn't the best. and add to it, not trusting the curves. So it got sold. the CBR is about the same weight, but slower, and handles with me on it much better. SO if you run the curves, not the best bike, you blast down freeways, it just can't be beat. Think ungodly fast Gold wing, and the engine is way smoother than the 1996 cbr 1000. I happen to be 290 lbs and 6'6"

Greetings & Salutations!!!!

Let's see some photos of your bikes!

Yeah, XX is monster beast for straightaways! For twisties, I actually prefer my Ninja 250 over heavier bikes.

That’s so good insight. I can definitely see how it would be less than ideal for the backroads. I can imagine it might be rough going pushing one through the corners.
Thanks for the response.

working on it, found a picture on the Cb 1000, and the CBR 1100 that got sold, but I've had the CBR for so long that I don't have any current pictures. You take all kind of pictures when you buy a new bike, and you take all kinds of pictures when you sell it. but none when your just riding it

Welcome to the forum.

I used to own a cbr1000f as well, but now own a 1100xx.

It is a big heavy bike, but so was the 1000f and once acclimatised, you can still hustle them both along at a fair lick.

The Blackbird feels much faster though and demands a bit more respect than my old 1000f.

yep, that was my thought too. I just never got to the point of trusting the 1100 in the turns. it seemed the the 1000 has better feed back as to what its doing.

Great, thanks for the pics, the Blackbird is an absolute monster, would be great for the unrestricted German autobahns.
