Default New member, New bike

Hi. New to the forum, as Im sure you can tell by the post count. After long research I decided that my new bike would be a 06 CBR600RR. Ive been trolling these boards for a few weeks now and have decided to make a name since I am now a proud owner of a 06 CBR600RR. Yes yes, hold the applause. Ill get pictures up asap. Right now the bike is still at the dealer, they decided to be nice and install frame sliders for me as well as a new windscreen. It should be home within 2 weeks. At which time I will have time to take lots of scenic pictures. Make it all pretty too. Im going to try my best to be a regular on this forum.

Thanks,
motoRR

Congratulations on your new bike.

Good luck, remember to work yourself into it, not too fast too soon.

Im going to be extremely careful with it. I was told to keep it below 8k rpms for the first 300 miles.
I plan on keeping it below 8k rpms for the first 1,000 miles.

Enjoy the bike, but now I think you've kicked off the great 'how to break in your bike' debate. After this will be the chain cleaning debate, the oil debate, the K&N debate and the which pipe sounds the best debate. Congrats.
