Hello All,

Wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I'm new to this site and hope I will get some good views from y'all. I hope to try to help out here as much as possible with some of the knowledge I have aquired. I enjoy riding and trying to help other motorcyclist. I have had several bikes and have about 20 years experience starting with a little MX 100. I have had a 79 Yamaha 600, 82 Honda CB750, 89 Honda CBR600F, 95 Honda CBR600F3, 95 Yamaha FZR600. Last but not least....Today I am getting the 06 Honda CBR1000RR Repsol edition. I am looking so forward to getting it. It is supposed to be delivered in a couple hours. I'll try to post some pics of it later.

I am so pumped about getting this bike. Of course we have been in a drought and we have only gotten 1 1/2 inches of rain since March. And today of all days it decides it wants to rain. Not sure if I will get to ride it much today but just having it here will be ok with me until it stops raining.

At least all the oil will get washed off the roads. Welcome to the site and enjoy.

Yes it washed the oil off the roads and it quit after only about an inch of rain. So, I was able to get out and enjoy my new Repsol CBR1000RR after all. Was only able to get in 150 miles today but no twisties yet. Rode to some friends to show off my beautiful new bike. I hope to get some pics of it on here soon, if I can stop riding it long enough.

Man, this thing has some kinda power. I am used to a 600, this is my first 1000 and wow!!! I am very pleased with the power it has. Got it up on the back wheel once on purpose and once by accident. I was used to a 600, when I rolled into the throttle from a stop to get up to highway speed at about 5K RPM the front end started coming up. I was a bit surprised as I was used to the 600 only coming up when I made it. When those 2nd set of injectors kicks in the front end comes up if you are not paying attention or don't realize the power that this thing has.
