Hi, Just bought a CBR100f on a 87 plate, 27k, and a bit of a project.
Promised myself after my 50th that i would get back onto 2 wheels.
Bike history, several Suzuki GT250/380/750, Kawasaki GPZ750,Z400,KE175.
Honda 400/4, CB900F2.

It's in need of some tlc but after a few hours and getting it to fire up we have decided to give it a re-furb.
Plans are to strip it and re-powdercoat the frame and give it a full make over.

After removing the plastics found this, mice had chewed through a couple of wires, nothing major.

Welcome to the CBR Forum Steve,

You have definitely come to the right place - and welcome back to the world of two wheels too. The bike looks a solid start so ask any questions you need.

Your right in the Hurricane age demographic and we love a good rebuild.

Drop into the Hurricane Saloon and bring your sense of humour.

Cheers, SB

Is that mouse nest OEM or aftermarket? Not a traditional bike mod, but each to their own.

You've got some great riding roads in Derbyshire. I've spent many weekends in the Peak District. You'll have fun of the 'cane around there.

At the moment i keep nicking my old ladys MK3 MR2, both my sons and his mates are massive petrol heads.
15 mins and we are in the peaks....
Years ago (80's) Matlock Bath on a Sunday, the good old days when X7's and the first LC's where wheeling up down the prom, plus the only place for miles on a Sunday to buy a bag of chips...
oh and the mouse an aftermarket mod by the previous owner.

I see you're in Chesterfield. I was born and raised in Dronfield. I was just back in May to watch the Lanc and Spitfire fly over Derwent dam for the dam busters anniversary. Last time I was in Matlock Bath there were some lovely old Nortons and Triumphs. Glad it's still the place to be on a bike during summer weekends.
