2 hrs ...... yer it always takes less time to rip them apart than to whack them back together..
Looks and sounds like you have it under control though ..

From my experience stripping bike and car engines for rebuilding , I think its the cleaning of parts before assembly that is the most important ...

I always have been pretty fantastical about that part and usually spend at least 5 times the time it took to strip them in the first place to re assemble..

 

I recon the hardest thing about these twin OHC 4 inline bike engines is that they can be a a bit fiddly.. I have done a couple of 4 inlines and quite a few singles (500cc 4 stroke trail bikes)

One of my mate used to do allot of cummins rebuilds for his dads transport business....

I would go hangout at his workshop to help where I could ....bloody cranes needed for everything ... heavy bastards those parts are ...

 

Probably because you can usually rip the cabins back out of the way and get to everything on truck with ease ...
Bloody cars can be a bit bloody fiddly like the bikes as far as getting into the engine bays goes..
