Hi all, been riding various bikes for 40+ year's. Currently pop around on a FJS 600. I have decided to try bring my daughter's FW back to life, it's been sat for 10 years while she travels the world, wish me luck please. I will ask lots of questions and beg directions to various parts. Cheers

Welcome to the forum, good luck with getting the bike going again, I assume that the 'FW' is the last of the steel frame bikes of a 1998 vintage?
Plenty of guys on here ready and willing to provide help and assistance.

Thanks for the welcome
IDoDirt & A11040
my plan is to get her on the road then start to refurbish her bit by bit while keeping her on the tarmac. I want to keep her as original as possible.

just now trying to find my way around these threads and posts

Be sure to post some pictures as you work through the recomissioning, its always good to see how others might solve any problems they run into.
Look forward to seeing more on this.
Cheers

Default Petcock filter sorted

My biggest and most time consuming problem was the petcock filter. Eventually I decided to try a repair.

Greetings and Salutations!!!

Compare measurements, perhaps one of these may fit:
