Hey Guys,

New member here, I bought an ‘04 CBR 600 F4i new back in ‘04. I haven’t been riding for a few years due to having kids and such. Thankfully I just got her back on the road, very excited as it’s been a minute. She currently sits at 11,700 miles. Popped a new battery in yesterday, lubed the chain and got products to complete an oil change this weekend. Can’t wait to get back on the road!

Regards,

Tom

Did she start, thought she might have need some fresh fuel run through.

Yes Sir, thank you!! You are completely right. So I before I attempted anything I checked inside the tank for any rust or gunk and all looked ok (not a mechanic lol). So I got this stuff called “mechanic in a bottle” that is supposed to be good for our bikes if they sit for some time. At this point the battery was definitely dead but I jumped it with my truck to see if it would start and it did. So then I went out and got the battery and did some maintenance. Once I burn through the rest of this tank the bottle said to put new fuel in and put the rest of the product in. When it started everything sounded good, no engine knock or rough idle, didn’t overheat or anything so that’s a plus. Just got her insured w/ Rider Insurance again and registered (oh boy what a pain, I’m in NJ). I will post up some pics below.

The Repsol is one of my Dad’s several bikes lol. This was at the Tail of The Dragon at Deals Gap.

Nice bikes. Looks like one of the pull-outs that the photographers sit at while taking pictures.

Really like the high exhaust, fits really well with the lines of the bike. Was that a custom made link pipe?
