Very nice looking and well kept machine, did you have the wheels done yourself?

thank you.............that's the way they came. only have the bike a couple of weeks and pretty much pleased with it although it sometimes goes lumpy at the lights at low revs. changed the reg/rec and it helped a bit as she wasn't charging at tickover. a friend thinks it could be the end can as its got no baffle in it. Any ideas yourself? did a motorway stint on sunday and the miss at the lights stopped for a while but has since came back.

They are a very good machine on the whole, but of course are starting to age a bit.
They do not generally charge very much at tickover as you will see from the lights dimming when the revs drops, should be checked for voltage a c. 2k then 5k revs topping out at about 14.5 volts for so.
Unfortunately you might have a bit of dirt in your carbs from the sounds of it, the exhaust would not really cause it to miss at low revs..baffles what are those
Could also be a plug on its way out or valves slightly out.
When was it last serviced / valves checked?

Have a look at this post IDoDirt has some very good advice on carb cleaning as unfortunately they can be very tricky to do properly
