Hi, I’m Silvino, new to the forum.
Honorary Yorkshireman, living in Wetherby, originally from Cape Town, South Africa.
Been riding on two wheels since I can remember. Inspired by my late mum who used to ride about on a CB650.
Currently ride a ‘99 Fireblade, 50th Anniversary model. Have had all sorts over the years from a Yamaha Genesis, R1 to an Aprilia RSV Mille R.
Can’t beat a good old carb model 4 cylinder sports bike for me. My current Fireblade, 50th Anniversary model My last Fireblade, bought in 2000, cherished and kept for 19 years alongside other bikes that came and went, had 9000 dry miles on it when some idiot reversed over it with a 4x4 while parked up because he didn’t see it while reversing 😭😭
Welcome to the forum Silv6540,
Great pics and quite a collection of past bikes there.
What a shame about your 'deceased' blade.
The anniversary blade at first glance looks like a completely different bike with that paint job.

Thanks, good to be on the forum, these are new thing for me.
It is a shame about my old blade, was going to keep it forever having bought it with only 400 miles on it.
Yes, the anniversary blade is somewhat dumbed down, I really preferred my old colour scheme but what it lacks in appearance it makes up for with performance, there’s a few bits tweaked from the standard model like a different cam shaft, full akrapovic race system etc and it makes quite a difference.
