im having a few recent issues with my bike ive searched the forum but cant find a solution and didn't know if anyone could help thanks in advance

hi ive had the bike for 3 months the rev counter has since i got it stuttered between 3k and 4.5k revs but engine was smooth . the other day on the way home from work the bike lost power for a few seconds then picked back up i thought it may be low on fuel so filled up . The next time i took it out was all fine on the 5 mile trip picked something up and whent to come home all was ok for the first 4 mile then sudden power loss barly limped the last mile home at about 10 mph so checked the bike out when home. looking at the regulator the plug was burnt and one connector had slight burning around it so thought it might be that ordered a new plug and regulator which i fitted. Currently cant ride under load over 3k revs for more than a few seconds. things ive checked so far , stator all fine charge 13v idol with headlight on 14.7v at 4-5k revs , fuel pump fine working well fuel pump relay working , side stand switch cleaned and working well tank breather seams clear and letting air through , slowly working through things unfortunately don't have a spark plug spanner at present to check the plugs but also other than oil and filter don't know the service history . im in torbay area of the uk

 

Hi ,have you checked out the Pulse Generator is ok and in spec.

Maybe a blocked fuel filter as well? Worth checking.

 

hi Hawkwind2016 when i checked the fuel pump it pumped around 1 liter in about 30 seconds that was through the filter but i will have another check thanks
