900rr is always a good choice in bike. but it's a lot of bike to be learning on. Stay safe out there, and welcome to the forum.

My first bike was a 98 900RR. What a stupid move for a first bike. I remember going back to the dealer and complaining that there was something wrong with the bike after I had like a 1,000 miles on it because it wouldn't do wheelies. I'm lucky to still be here. That bike was a beast once I knew how to ride it properly. At 220lbs I could sit on the tank and pull wheelies. That was fun until I crashed. Anyways, be careful, have fun and just don't ride too far beyond your limits. If mine had not been stolen I would still be riding that thing today!!!
