Default New from Las Vegas

Hello all,

Just purchased my first bike yesterday... 06 cbr 600rr. I'm loving it already. Been wanting a bike for a few years, finally convinced the wife to let me get one lol. Looking forward to getting some good advice!!!

Congrats on your new bike! It looks great.

Best advice I can give you is to take the MSF course to get you started. Motorcycle Safety Foundation. Then, build upon what you've learned to become a safe & responsible rider. Take the advanced courses as well when its time. Don't force yourself out of your comfort zone while you're learning - *Ride Your Own Ride*. Read everything you can find on riding technique...to that, you don't have to buy it all - you can spend a few afternoons in B&N or other bookstores & online. ;-)

The more you ride, the more comfortable & confident you'll become.

Welcome to the forum. Good to have you w/ us.

Welcome!

That a lot of first bike, but a nice one. Respect the machine and ride safe.

Yea. I'm in the Air Force. I took the MSF course right before I enlisted, but they are making me take it again. It's cool though since I don't have to pay for it lol.
Thanks for all the replies.

Welcome to Cbrf,

The 600rr is a very nice bike, I'm sure you are gonna be very happy with it for a long time.

Taking the MSF course twice kinda stinks, but hey atleast it is free and you get to learn from two different instructors.
