Yeah, haha! I know, that was one thing I found out that kindof eluded me and has ben swaying me back to the 600's. I'm probably going to force my father to put it in his name though just for the sake of saving a few HUNDRED extra.. Geeze, insurance is a joke. =[

Don't the newer Honda CBR600RR's destroy the Buell lightnings in the 1/4 mile?

There was a big debate on this in another forum I am part of, and the story goes that is also part of why people fancy Beull didn't succeed. They just have massive motors that don't deliver really.

Either way, the CBR600 is nothing to turn your nose at. Hell my 92 CBR600 turns 12.25 second 1/4 miles, way faster than 99% of production cars on the road, I can only imagine the new RR's stomp all over my bike and 99.9% of production cars!

So.. Most definitely going to get a CBR 600. I rode my friends ZX-6 today on our first ride together, and he rode the Buell. His ZX-6 is fast.. So I can only imagine what a litre bike is like.. Lawl. Can't wait to buy my 600 =( Anyone know any good spots to look for a 2008 for not that bad of a price? ie: specific dealerships in NJ?

good choice

especially if you plan on "honing" your skills at the track

your first post showed a lot of ignorance.....but i see you are a quick learner

there is a huge difference between I4's and v-twins

ama felt so bad for buell's lack of power...they let the 1125r race against the 600 superbikes

Yeah idc about the distances as long as its within a 6 hour drive.. Both me and my dad and friends have trucks.. Kinda odd, but its not a big deal to go pick up; and I heard shipping from like Florida is like cheaper.. ~200-300? Anyway, I'm still waiting till the winter to purchase when I havea little more money. I'm also looking for either a straight black bike, or white. Not a very big fan of red on the cbrs
