Talking New From Houston

My names Skip, I'm new to the site as well as the houston area. I ride a 2001 cbr600f4i, and have been riding about 3 weeks outside of just tooling around the neighborhood on the bike.

Before I moved here I previously lived in los angeles, and before that florida.

Before I started riding, I used to drive professionally, till I got in a wreck in a sponsor vehicle.

Hopefully I'll fit in here

that was the day the bike got dropped off and while i was just dickin around the apartment complex's parking lot.

Sadly i lost that hat on the way to a gas station a block down the rode

i have since acquired a fulmer helmet, leather jacket ( i gotta get something better than it tho), gloves, and boots. cant find neutral in anything other than the pumas tho :-/

Now i just need the new crankcase cover, and ill be back riding.

Thanks a bunch for the welcomes and bike compliments

Hmm... Then maybe try Puma motorcycle boots and shoes

I wear a pair of riding 'shoes' myself. Not full Halo extra / Power Ranger Standin motorcycle boots. Don't have any trouble finding the gears and more protective than sneakers.

when i get the money ill probably pick up some puma riding shoes.

i got time since i cant ride the bike atm. dropped her in the parking lot at work so i wouldn't run over a kitten while making a uturn on the inclined portion of the lot :-/ luckily the only damage was a crack to the crankcase cover and a shattered mirror .... that kitten better thank me later

Hi & welcome to the site Skip!
If U have any ?s on your new bike check out the F4i forum, lots of F4i riders here to give U a hand (including me! )
U shouldnt have any problem replacing the stator/crankcase cover. Ebay can be your best friend finding a used one or an aftermarket one.
Replacing is pretty simple...just make sure U drain all the oil from the crankcase first!!
Good luck and enjoy the forum!

So what have we learned here? No kitty is worth a new stator cover (or mirror).

But seriously, welcome to the CBRF, man.
