Hey my name is mike. My bike is actually an R1, but I just bought a 86 VFR that I'm fixing up for my lady. I hear that the VFR has a lot in common with the early CBRs, so I figured this would be a good place to surf...

Hey Mike, welcome to CBRF!! VFRs are great bikes and I'm sure your lady will enjoy hers. Don't know how many similarities there are between them and older CBRs though. The engines are set up totally different as VFRs are V-fours and CBRs are all inline-fours. All I can say is post up any questions you may have in General Tech and see what kind of response you get. I'm sure there's a few members out there who have (or have had) VFRs who would be willing to help.

Good luck fixing her up and enjoy the forums.
