There is an 01 f4i for sale here that i'm looking at. It is $3800 with 15k miles on it. All stock. Going to see if I can bring him down on the price to around $3400. Is that still too much?

No it has never been down. There are no damages that I am aware of.

 

sounds like a pretty decent price then to me. Alot of f4i's are stuned, and have gone through hell and back. But never down, no damages, I'd buy it if I needed a bike. Good luck on your purchase.

 

3500-3800- Sounds very fair. - That's what I paid at the end of last years' riding season (October). - '02 with 16K miles. - only a garage drop (Small unnoticable dent in the tank, and a broken barend. - Small scratches in fairings.

 

seems good to me..i bought my 03 at the begining of may last year for 4,350. with 10k miles on it.

 

Also found a 04 rr with around 8k miles for $5000. Clean title with jardine exhaust. Going to try to bring him down to around $4600. But I also have to pay around 10% more for tax and all that other stuff.

 

There is a big service due on the F4i right around that time (16k I think), I would find out if that service was done. I believe valve clearances should be checked and a crapload of other stuff that is very pricey at the dealer. There are some posts on this service and the costs or how to do it yourself, try searching onit to get more info. I'm not saying you shouldn't buy the bike, but you may want to know what you'll be spending in 3 months for maint.

But 15K isn't alot of miles, there is a member with 115k+ on this forum on his F4i. Keep us posted.

 

I'm looking at a salvage title 03 rr with 4000 miles for $4000. Said the bike was laid down which bent the forks and damaged the fairings. Says everything was fixed and no frame damage. Think he is asking too much?

 

price is fair all the bikes you mention as is. Book on the F4/i is 4000 - 4700. so 3800 is a deal this tyme of year. they will only get higher the warmer it gets. On the savaged title longs as its all good its worth it.
