Default New here, new to me 03' 954

Hi all, just joined and figured I would post up a picture of my bike.

Started out on a Suzuki Bandit 600, then bought another Bandit 1200 that was in rough shape. Planned to swap the 1200 engine into the 600. Then just decided to sell them both and buy a good bike without all the hassle.

Sold my 600 yesterdayafternoon (Jan 5th) and picked this up yesterday evening. My 1200 is still for sale though.

Specs on the 954:

03' with 10,500 miles
Michelin Pilot tires with good tread
Jardine Muffler, also have a Two Brothers muffler (Which is better? Jardine is on it now and I think it sounds good, don't want to go through the hassle of swapping it if it's not worth the time though)

Also, I was looking to get some frame and swingarm sliders for it, but am just thinking about making them myself. I have some 1 3/4 round 7075 aluminum I could turn down and make them out of. What type are better? Aluminum or Delrin? If Delrin is preferred, I'll probably just buy some as I don't have any round stock of Delrin.

Also, I paid $4,650 for it,I thought that was a really good price, what do you all think?

What I think is that you have a nice looking bike. I bought my 02 954 with almost identical miles though I paid more. I can't help you with your tech questions, but help is not far away I'm sure. Glad to have you.

Great looking 954, luv the colors.... he-he....
Might want to post the pipe sound and slider ?s in the 954 forum, you'll for sure get a straight answer there.
I've got a Jardine RT-1 pipe on my F4i and sounds great, not too loud around town but rips up top.I know the TB is deeper & throatier as a rule, so theres my $.02.
