Unhappy New here and need some help

98 CBR 600 F3..I bought this bike 3 weeks ago and it had zero problems since I had it.The other day after an extended ride I noticed a milky oil leak outta of the coolant resevoir outflow tube.I looked into the resovoir and it was full of milky oil..I checked my dipstick and it was almost empty. The bike did not run hot or have any performance issues.I just noticed the leak after it sat for 2 hours.Any ideas would be appreciated.Thanx.This is my first sportbike and I love it but this is frustrating.Hope its a quick fix...

Try just changing all the fluids, first. Could just be outside contaminents/neglect.\

After that keep a close monitor of the oil/anti-freeze condition. If it comes back,
you probably have a gasket leak internally to the motor.

Try the oil/filter and radiator flush/fill first, though. You should do that anyway,
on a new (to you) bike. I always do that, plus brake flush/fill (+braided line upgrade),
chain/sprocket inspection and front fork rebuild. It pays to know that the bike's
maintenance is up to snuff. PO's are a notoriously bad at basic maintenance.

as madhattr said change oil fluids and keep an eye open....it does sound like a gasket is leaking internally....tilt the bike on its side and see what color the oil is in the inspection window

Ern is on cue... When you check the dip stick & notice is was almost empty? Was it compare to your previous check? You did check the oil prior to riding right? If the oil reading was full when you purchase bike, 1-2 weeks later after riding, then oil reading drops, where the oil go?

Proceed per Ern advice & monitor oil level & coolant purity. Likely a leak from gasket....but last thing you want is to run motor w/o oil....

First off thanks for the response fellas..My friend changed the oil and filter 2 days prior and checked the fluids for me.I didnt check it the day of the leakage but I had no issues the day before as I rode it rahter extensively. He has a ton of bikes but im a noob and he seems to know what hes talkin about..I didnt mess with any radiator flush or fluids but we did check it and it was up to snuff..the bike has braided brake lines.Thers no obvious leakage from the motor itself..Should I just flush all the fluids and change all my filters and see what happens?Thank you guys for the help..My biggest question is that the bike ran fine and there was no change in performance...Everyone just says i blew the head gasket..IDK...One more thing the oil that was at the bottom of the oil resovoir that didnt go into the coolant resovior was fresh..No milky white colors...

Ill definitely check it out...So I drained the rest of the oil from the engine and got almost 2 1/2qts and it was good oil..I also took the water pump off and where it goes into the actual engine was good but the milky oil was in the parts where the hoses connect to it..Otherwise it looks good..Also i flushed out my radiator and there was alot of the oil mixed in..I hate to say it but I think its the head gasket..If so do I have to drop the engine..I have almost zero mechanical knowledge..Just a manual and a a couple of tools....

Before jumping to conclusions maybe perform a cylinder leakdown test or compression test. That should confirm your headgasket condition. On second thought I don't know if you can do that on bikes. I don't see why not though.
