Default New here, great forum

Just wanted to say "hi". I've been creeping around this forum for months, joined in August, and had some time to play around today. I ride a 2003 CBR600 F4i, bought new. Probably my favorite bike of all I've owned over the years.... Started with a '78 Honda Elsinore 150 in back in 1980, then progressed through a series of different bikes including, 77 Suzi GT750 2stroke triple, 82 Kawa GPZ550, 84 Suzi GS750S, Honda Scooter, then a 15 year break... My wife bought me the CBR for my 40th... she couldn't stand me reliving my riding glory days anymore and figured she's get a break from it since i'd be out riding instead.
So, that's my bike history - probably more than anyone cares to know

Anyway - when my back and wrists aren't screaming at me to transition to a more comfortable bike (which would be admitting I'm getting old), I love to carve the back roads in the Oakland hills or ride with a couple of buddies on the other side of the bay in the Marin headlands.

Great forum, lots of fantastic info and pics. I look forward to joining the fray.

Welcome aboard.

Bought new eh? So how many miles have you put on her? I envy you. I have yet to own a bike with 0 miles. My F4i is the closest I've come. One day... One day

Thanks again for the warm CBR welcome.

@Kuroshio - yep, bought new, having throttled some machines in my youth I'm the only one to blame if something goes wrong with this one. Only 6800 miles - aforementioned back issues left me sidelined for awhile.. back (no pun) in the saddle with a vengeance this year.

@Chainstretcher- Well deduced! 47ish is right on the money. I hope math isn't a requirement for membership - I don't want to be on probation right out of gate...

@CBRClassic - Thanks to all for the welcoming notes. I feel thoroughly and utterly welcomed.

@NateDieselF4i - aftermarket can is definitely top of the list. I can't decide and therefore can't pull the trigger. Lots of different opinions on this forum. I think black or CF would look best on my bike, it should require no mapping, and give a growl loud enough to satisfy my ears, but not p*ss off the neighbors.
