Hello and welcome. In case you didn't know, The F4i is a cbr 600, Unless what you ment was should you buy an RR or and F4i? It all depends on what you want to do with it. The RR is the race inspired version where as the F4i is more of a street version. Both are great bikes but the RR is a more aggressive bike ( less confey ) compared to the F4i. I got myself an 02 F4i and i'm loving it. It's my first bike and I think it makes a great beginner bike. Good luck with your choice...

Welcome to the site.

Check around on e-bay, craigslist, and any local reseources you have. A lot is going to depend on the bike, the miles and condition, etc.

Typically, the person selling isn't going to be able to recover much of the cost of mods. But then something with heavy mods makes you wonder what they were doing -- were they stunting or racing or just riding around town. Lots of variables to say what one should cost. If you have one or two you're looking at, post up the particulars and ask for advice on those. Probably several folks will have good info on what you are looking at.

Good luck!

According to motorcyclist magazine, 2001 F4i's sell for around $4885.oo U.S. but I've noticed them selling for much less on Ebay. All depends on what your looking for. Stock?, Upgrades?, Milage?, Damage?. They should all contribute to the price. Don't be shy to ask questions or to take a Skilled mechanic with you when looking at a bike. You might also want to test ride it before you buy it, Who know's, Maybe you just don't feel comfortable on an RR or an F4i. Best of luck.
