hey guys, im 19. I'm actually picking up my bike either tomorrow or the next day... its a 2003 CBR 1000... its my first bike, but all my friends have them, so i always ride theirs. They have R6's, ninja 636's, R1's and busa's... so im the first to get a CBR, yay!! anyways, the only problem with the bike, is the gas tank is dented in... the kid that had it before me rolled it.. the plastics are basically fine, no major scratches, the frame sliders took most of the abuse, but i was just wondering if anyone knows off the top of their head how much a tank is for the 03's??

 

Wow a 1000 for a first bike, at least you've ridden your buddies already, good luck with it and be safe. Hopefully you'll have it in a couple days and I'll have mine in a couple days too! Welcome to the board! Sorry, dont know pricing on the tanks tho....

 

thanks man, yea ive been riding my friends, R6 but he just sold it to another kid, and bought an R1 so i just got a chance to ride that, quite a step up... anyways, are all rotary steering stabilizers the same?? or are they like alot different from each other??

oh i forgot to mention, it has an akrapovic carbon fiber exhaust, new front and rear tires, some carbon fiber peices, and black windshield

Did the kid stunt it? How could the plastics be okay and only the tank dented? Hmmm...

 

I know its been said a million times.....be careful on the 1k...and you could try and look at bikebandit.com to get an idea on a price...

 

i beleive it fell on the pavement and slide untill it hit grass, the sliders are MESSED UP!!! must have just taken a fall in the right direction to mess up the tank... thanks for the site man!
