New here
Hello all
I have just found this forum, as i have just purchased a 1991 CBR1000. I am 61 years old, and have been on two wheels since i was 16. I ride a 1980 Yamaha XS1100 Midnight Special right now, and am ready to put this cane, as you call it, together. It was laid down at the track, and needs a few parts, but i know the bike, and it is a good runner. I ride mostly with the sport bike crowd, and keep up very well, but it is time to get something i can get out front with. Most of the young folk think i am crazy, and maybe i am, but i am crazy with a smile on my face. Looking forward to learning about this bike, and meeting new people on the forum.

Welcome to the CBR Forum Bob,
Don't worry about;
1. Age - many of us with CBR1000Fs have had, you might say, a long and varied riding career or .........
2. Being crazy - with apologies to Jack Nicholson, "were not quite fully stocked up here" so there's always room for one more tragic!
As Demon said above, pop by the saloon and pull up a virtual stool, usually quite a bit going on, and we're only too happy to help get your bike back into shape.
Cheers, SB
