Default New Here..

Hey guys and gals. I'm Vinnie (aka Vinman). Just purchased my first Sportbike, 1995 CBR 900RR. I have been a Import Car enthusiast for 15+yrs now. I have wanted a early 90's 900rr since they came out. Last time I rode a bike (YZF600) was 20yrs ago. I plan on taking riders course in next couple weeks. I will be honest and say its going to sit in my living room quite a bit. It will be ridin 500 miles plus a year. I hope to learn alot from here and one day give the knowledge back. Thanks.. V

Welcome to the forum Vinnie.
500 miles a year ain't very much... You will learn a lot if you read a lot. Glad to hear you want to give back.
Where are you located? Perhaps some other members in your area can push you to ride a bit more.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm 20 miles west of Atlanta, Ga. My bike will be here in 3 weeks. Just in time for winter. I will ride it but hopefully not alot. I bet I get the fever as soon as it warms up. I got it as more of a collectors Item for me. It will be a nice addition next to my 20 yr old import, which gets driven about 1000 miles a year to car shows.

There is not a certain amount. The administrators like to see some activity before they remove you from moderation. It helps to make useful posts on the forum.

Welcome aboard Vinnie. Glad you found us & joined up.

Congrats on getting your new to you bike as well.

Kudos for planning to take the safety course. Any responsible rider here will recommend it. I grew up riding dirt & motocross b/f street. I had quite a bit of experience under my belt b/f I took the MSF but it proved invaluable to honing skills & reinforcing safety techniques.

Thanks for the welcome...Just got Motorcycle permit today.. Safty course is next just don't know when. Either during winter or just after. I dont plan to ride in winter. So I may tackle the frame polishing job.

I looked for 3-4 months before I found the one I wanted. Thankfully the seller worked with me and let me pay for it in 2 payments...Coming next weekend..Can't wait.
