New here
Hey everyone - what's up? I'm new here and was looking forward to helping out or being helped out by the CBR community sometime in the future. I'm in the Bronx, NY and am an experienced rider and wrench turner. My expertise is cars but I have been working on bikes for a couple of years now. I'm still learning all the little tricks. I was the official mechanic for a couple of bike clubs. One guy basically left his 2006 600RR with me and said that I might as well hold on to it since he doesn't ride anymore. It was purchased brand new and is all stock with the exception of the mirrors which I replaced for him when his were damaged somehow - he didn't want to elaborate but a girl was involved
. Anyway, it's a cute, fun ride. Quick, light, and surprisingly fast for its size (I have a Suzuki TL1000R that I'm comparing it to). I decided to purchase it from him a couple of months ago and it now has a happy home with me. I'm very happy with it and have put on a couple of thousand miles over the summer
! It's a problem keeping up with the bigger bikes but I'm sure with a few tweaks here and there, I can make it a little more respectable
. Well, there's my story - you'll be hearing more from me soon.
