hey guys, i just bought a 2001 929rr from this girl at work. bought the bike for 1000. is that a good deal?

I dont know how many owners it has for where it came from....not sure of alot of things, but have been looking at this bike sitting in our shop for the last 3 years! I just could not stand to see it die like that.

I just pulled the plastics off and started to get to the parts to inspect and clean them....looking for any tips tricks or pointers. I will try to post some pics if i can upload them.

my name is CJ and i work for the dog track in jax fla. havent rode in some years, but would like to get this thing running in the next couple of months.

what should i look out for and where can i get the parts?

hey CJ, welcome. i reckon the guys in the 900 forum can give you a hand, let you know just how good a deal you got. if it's running at all, i'd say $1k is a steal.

Welcome to the forums. If the bike has set for several years you may want to start with cleaning the tank and carbs. You got a great buy there.

Yeah, 1k is a great price.
I would get a tank cleaner/coating system. Definitely instead of rocks.

Welcome to the site, man.
