Hey guys. Im from Ohio, and I just picked up my 2nd motorcycle today. A 2012 CBR1000rr.



My first is a 2011 Yamaha FZ8, which I am also keeping.


Obviously, they are prrrretty different machines. I was a little nervous getting on a liter bike for the first time, but I am amazed at how easy it is to drive. And the power... oh lordy the power. The FZ8 is almost an 800, but it performs more like a 600... if that. It is more of a commuter tuned engine with around town torque, with a nice rush on the top end... but holy cow, I came upon a smooth open country road and slowly rolled on full throttle in 2nd gear in the CBR and it was like turning on warp drive. Ive never felt something go like that before. Im really excited about it, and really happy with the purchase.

"Warp drive" - good one! ;-) It certainly gives the instantaneous speed! Congrats.

Good looking FZ as well. Its nice to have more than one bike. You can swap up for whatever mood you're in or what necessity dictates.
