New guy from Ohio
 
Whats up guys. New guy 27 years old here from Ohio. Im that guy whos never rode before but is lookin to get an f4i as his first bike. Normally a car guy. Own a built 99 mustang GT (for sale if interested) . Always wanted a bike and plan on learning as much as I can before I make my purchase hopefully in the fall.

hey Chute and welcome!! :-)

Even though you are not a kid and have road experience in a car, you really do need to get some training on the bike and read the link in my sig about counter steering, *that* is how bikes steer, period!!

Hhaha thats funny u mention that. Last night i saw a post from u and read ur article as well as several vids on youtube about counter steering. Ive been getting comfortable sitting on my buddys R6 getting used to the controls shifting , clutch feel ect ect. He wont let me take it out of first yet tho lol. I feel pretty comfortable tho. And im hoping with some parking lot experience i should be ok. I understand the power of machines and am not really a daredevil speed demon. I have a very healthy fear of what these things can do.
