New guy looking to buy.. with ?s
Hey guys, i have msot recently been in the Dirtbike and ATV MX scene and i am looking to get rid of one of my quads and buy a good used CBR, I was wondering if it is possible to find a good CBR600 something like an f4i or an RR 2000 and up for $3000-4000? because that is all i am really looking to spend and i want a good bike. Any information is appriciated, i live in Iowa and i am itching to get on a bike. Thank you in advance!

Yep definately doable to find an F4i in that price range, a newishRR would be a bit tougher to find, keep an eye on ebay, cycletrader, and whatever your local classifieds are. Just in case you are new to this, don't bid or commit to buying anything you haven't gotten to touch, lots of scams out there to be careful of.

Yeah, i thought i maybe could, i am more in for an f4i anyhow.... im not a track rider, i just need something to ride to college and to work and on weekends... I like the 2000 and up body style, just hard to find anything around here that isnt OUTRAGEOUSLY priced, example... seems a 2000 f4i will sell for 5000 with 20k miles!.... I can dig 4000 for a good f4i, there just arent many cool people in iowa i guess... lol

Yep
2001+ is fuel injected, 2 individual seats, the snake eyes headlight
2000 has the banana seat and the oval single headlight, and is carburated.
I think it was around 2004 or 2003 they changed the F4i to have the banana seat instead of the 2 individual seats.
Other then that I don't think there is any sort of significant difference between the F4i models
