Got my 2001 929RR in February this year.
Love the bike.
On its "inaugural" trip a few of us went down to North Carolina and Tennessee to check out Deals Gap. Bike performed flawlessly.
We rode the Dragon a few times, most of Hwy 28, some blue ridge parkway (in and around Cherokee for awhile) and the Cherahola Skyway.
Unfortunately while I was there the bike went down on its side - luckily I was going slow. Tight corner, lots of shadows, debris on the road and pot holes. Not on the Dragon - thankfully. It was a connector road to Cherahola skyway.
Anyway, looking to replace the bottom plastic on right side. I have a 6" section or so of "road rash".
Been reading/visiting for awhile.

Sorry you had the mishap. Sounds like it was very minor. Glad you're ok. Even w/ the mishap, sounds like the trip was still a good one.

That's a nice trip. Did you expect anything less of that bike? lol A little road rash gives it character....
