Default New guy from CT

I've only been riding for one year. Always wanted to get a bike, however never really had a group to ride with so it was always put on the back burner. Almost everyone I work with now rides so I purchased a bike, a 2001 CBR 929RR. Pics are in my photo album.

I know that most would say a 929 is not a good first bike but I am a bit taller and did not like the feel of the 600's. The pics are from last year when I first got the bike. The only thing that I had really changed was putting some wheel tape on. I got some yellow wheeltape with "Honda" on some of the strips. Looks ok from afar, however closer examination would lead most to wonder if Michael J. Fox had installed them. Kind of wavy haha.

Here I am first post and rambling already. I plan on starting a thread in the 929 forum about the work I am doing on the bike this winter (not because I dropped it last summer going through an incredibly easy left corner).

Hah. Michael J Fox - good lord. Bad Karma.

ANyways welcome! Glad to hear you've found some friends to ride with.

If you haven't even after a year taking a MSF might not be a bad idea.

Thanks for the advice Nate...I took the initial course prior to getting my motorcycle endorsement. I enjoyed it and recommended a couple other guys to go through that got the endorsement after I did.

Thanks Regen...I had to get new plastics after the spill, but I got the same colors because I really like the Black and Yellow.
