Default New guy from Cincy/Dayton

Hey all, my name is Gavin I am a technician at Acura of Dayton and I have registered here so I can do some research before I buy my first bike. I am a new rider and have my mind set on something like an 05ish 600rr. I know more than enough about cars having been in the industry for some time now, but I know squat about bikes. So I'm here to learn and figure out how this side of the scene works.

I am planning on going to the Honda rider trainingat the Troy OH plant for a little help on knowing how the bike reacts to me and how I react to the bike. Just wondering if anyone here has been to Honda rider training and what their thoughts are about it and if you think it made you a better/safer rider.

-Gavin

Welcome, andit sounds like you are offto a smart start. You will get alotof feedbackhere, the first of which is your choice in bike, meaning an RR. Is this you first ever bike? The reason I ask is becuase an RR can be an extremely touchy machine on the inputs.

But as far as Honda rider training, I personally have never been, nor heard anyone discuss it. I am sure there is someone on here that has. but, regardless, I think you should take it, and any other course you come across.
