plans for the cbr include; new paint job (blacked out), side mount license plate, new bar ends, new frame sliders...thats about it, nothing crazy...it already had a twobrothers slip on with the baffle removed...so this bike is WAYYYY loud...probably louder than it should be...ill make a video of it sometime here shortly...like a "walk around" video, ill rev it so you guys can hear it...its fun though

p.s. sorry for the poor quality pics, they were taken with my cell phone

after takin this bike apart for the 1st time i noticed that it has MAJOR repairs done to it and must have previously been dropped/laid down a bunch of times or maybe had 1 bad wreck...also, i noticed random wires that lead to nothing and other wires just clipped and i have no idea the point of these wires...heres what im talking about..

on either side..

i heard they might have been for an alarm?? or maybe some aftermarket lighting??

also, what would you guys recommend would be a good idea to get done or tune up while the bike is torn down?? like maybe an air filter change??...whats typical as far as up-keep on these bikes while they're in this state??.....hope someone replies..

Hi & welcome to the site Sean!
Watched the vid...doesnt sound too much louder than a regular Two Bros.
Its tolerable.......with earplugs
Sorry I cant really comment on the wire issue....might want to post a thread in the F4 forum....someone there can get U some answers there.
What color are U going paint the bike? Stock paint scheme or something custom?
Looking forward to seeing pics when you done with the paint.
Take care and enjoy the forum!

Howdy hey! Got a lot of bikes there.

Dunno the F4's wiring myself. And after someone has started hacking at wires, I usually need a day or 3 of staring at it to figure out wth they were thinking

While you got it apart best thing you can do is try and rehab that wire harness. It'll suck worse if you put everything back on and have to do it. Get some electical contact cleaner, dielectric grease and some electrical tape. Then go to town cleaning, sealing and rewrapping. If you're good with a solder iron, cut out those butt splices and resolder the wire together.
