Default New guy from Cali

Hey everyone. Just bought a 2004 1000RR yesterday and came across this site today. Im trying to find sites for parts and have no clue where to look. Havent owned a bike in over 10 years.

I came across this bike through a buddy. An older lady was selling it because it was her husbands and recently passed away due to illness. This bike was bought in 2004 and barely ridin. It only has 2300 miles on it and looks like it came off the show room floor to this day. She sold me the bike for 4k. So im happy to be back riding and it feels good to just get back to my old roots.

My issue is i hate the way the plate mount looks and the big ugly OEM blinkers have to go ASAP. So if anyone can point me in the right direction i would be greatful.

So far i like the site! Everyone seems cool so far from what i have read.

Respectfully,

Hart

Howdy! Welcome aboard! Nice looking liter you got there.

Some of the popular aftermarket fender eliminators (getting rid of the Honda whale tail and eyestalks) are Competition Werks and Hotbodies. There may be a DIY hidng around here somewhere. I dunno where to buy one. My bike came with one. eBay is always an option or you might try Googling for the manufacturers' websites.

Good luck and rubber side down

Thx Kuroshio! I will look them up. I was surfing ebay earlier and didnt find much of anything for an '04. Are there any other years that parts may cross for? like will an '06 light kit work etc ...?

Heh, I'm not the guy to ask. I'm more of a stock guy. And inter-compatibility isn't my bag on other bikes.

Post up in the 1000RR section. Someone will prolly give you an answer pretty quick

Welcome aboard, HART. Real sharp looking RR, man. You can't beat the mileage, either. Barely broken in.
