New guy 87 Hurricane
Just picked me up an 87 Hurricane 600. It's a little rough around the edges but with the addition of a new battery it runs and idles just fine. Needs a new chain and the rear tire is all out of whack, I'm not even sure how the guy was riding it. I went up in size from a 250 ninja but it isn't the largest bike I've ridden just the largest I've owned. I'm looking forward to getting it up and running so I can keep my car in the garage where it belongs.

I sure will post photos soon. The bike is at a buddy's house since he has a garage and tool box. I'm not sure about the body panels but I know the bike has been laid down. The aftermarket exhaust that is on it has a cracked weld but If all I need is a battery, chain, and the exhaust re-welded I think the $800 price is good for a bike with two practically new tires ( less than 2k miles on them)
I want to get it running and safe to take to the dragon since I'm less than 2 hours away via back roads

The battery wasn't charging. So I took off the fairings to check the rectifier since the Previous owner said he replaced the stator already. Turned out to be a bad battery. I'll be putting it all back together tomorrow. I need to do an oil change and get a new chain on the bike.
