New Guy
What's up? I'm happy to be here. The boards here are really interesting and definitely helpful. I just joined, but I've been lurking around for a while. Just recently finished my bike, and I wanted to share it with some peoplewho could appreciate it. It's a '92 F2 that has been jetted, has an anodized D&D can, and dupont satin black paint. The bike was stunted ina previous life and when I got it, theplastics were junk and the front end was furred out in an ugly fu*kin cow print material. It was ridiculous. After a few days, I stripped the fur off and can painted the front end white to (sort of) match the rest of the bike. I told myself that I would fix it up the right way one day. That was three years ago. I finallygot a chance to do all of the body work over the past few months, and shot it two weeks ago. I always liked the flat look on old hot rods, so I wanted the bike to have that look. I went with the satin (dupont calls it "matted") clear coat because satinisn't porus like a flat finish would be, and it won't smudge from people's grubby *** fingers. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. Sort of debating as to whether or not to put vinyl on it. Also, does anyone know how I could get a hold of a decal to put on my can? I would like something different, but I guess the regular D&D one would be ok.
