Hey all, names Marv and I picked up my buddies 2005 f4i for a sweet deal. He has laid it down a few times and broke off the lower fairings, but now it has sliders and im thinking about streetfighter-ing this beast out!

Welcome Marv.
Where are you from?
Good luck street fightering it, if you go that route. Is it too far gone to put fairings on it, or do you just want a fighter? Turning it into a decent looking fighter take cash and some mechanical creativeness. Are you up for that challenge?

Welcome to CBRF Marv!

Congrats on picking up the F4i. Nothing wrong w/ street fighters, if that's the way you want to go w/ it.

We have a active F4i section w/ lots of tips & mod advice. Settle in & enjoy.

I'm around vail CO, lots of places to ride around here! I'm good with mechanics and electrical stuff, and the rest of the bike is in great condition. It's just the lower right and left fairing that's busted. The tail and front cowling are scratched but not bad... So its either a whole new fairing kit ($$$) or strip and fab up a single seat and chopper light ($). I like the full fairing look don't get me wrong it just seems cheaper to strip parts then get new ones

Ebay or aftermarket should produce a few pieces that won't break the bank. Have a look around...

Yea it might be worth waiting for a good piece, then sand and paint. I was thinking a streetfighter look with a single seat and chopper headlight would calm down all the Harley riders around this area that are always giving me crap and not waving. I see goldwings and choppers all over and they wave and openly accept the sport bikes, but those die hard non helmet wearing HD necks almost seem to avoid me... Wtf?
