Guess I won't be getting a bike. Currently living for free in a house my parents own. They are heavily against bikes. SO, if I get one, they'll charge me rent. Pretty fkn stupid if you ask me, but I don't want to pay rent. I'll lurk around here for a while until I get a bike.

 

Damn, sorry to hear man, always tough to convince the parents if neither of them ride, even harder if they know someone who has died or has had a bad wreck.

Keep at it, I bugged my parents from age 10 (dirtbike) and it took me until I was 21 to finally get a "I guess we won't completely disown you if you buy one." I think it helped that I bought the bike when I was away at school so it was somewhat "out of sight, out of mind" for them. They still hate it, but oh well, I live on my own now anyways .

Also, rent sucks ... man I would have so much more money if it wasn't for rent.

 

We don't know anyone who has died or had a back wreck, but hours before my mom left the house to go to the hospital to have me, a guy on a bike slammed into a van and died right by the house. I've seen a guy bust his head, memories like that don't leave you.

 

Free rent sure would be nice.

Sorry to hear about the parent troubles - don't give up on your dream though!

 

I won't give up. I'm looking to get another Mustang GT or Cobra to drive. I'll still be happy with that!
