Default new and got ?s

ok i'm new to this forum so dont bite my head off! ok im going through a delimaand im new to riding, i mean real new! ive only ridden a dirt bike once in my life thats how new i am. but anyways ive been searching for a bike for a while now and ive hurd different things like dont ever start on a 600, 250s are to slow! and you'll get tired of a 500 real soon. i dont want to kill myself! i dont want to wreck! and i have no real need to go a 100 plus mp but i want a decent bike that will get up to speed quick. i have self control and im very responsible but i also understand mistakes happen. but anyways ive found a bike that im intristed in, its a1996 cbr 600f3with low miles. i figure its a older bike so no real harm if i drop it but it still looks real niceand its fast enough. any comments????

Welcome to the Forum !
The 600's fine, just keep the revs down below 7000RPM until you get used to it.
Watch the power - even for an old bike she'll have plenty.
And we don't bite the heads off new members here.......

Hey Matt.
So you have rider training courses in your part of the world?A few lessons under the belt would give you some confidence prior to hitting the road.
One thing you will learn quickly is that Drivers can never be underestimated in regard to being ignorant, stupid & 5 different shades of barking mental.
Good luck with it,stay safe.
