New Girl From Michigan
Hi all,
I recently purchased a 1990 cbr600 which I love to pieces. I decided to join since every time I Google something I find the best answer is coming from this site! I have found the answers so very helpful!! Also, love the ladies lounge!
I am married with two children, ages 4 and 3. This is our first street bike, but I grew up riding dirt bikes, all hondas. I took a motorcycle safety course last summer. We bought our bike about 3 weeks ago. Currently we share our bike until the hubby gets his own.
In the three weeks of owning it we have ran out of gas once, re-wired the rear brake light, changed the chain and sprockets when the chain broke, and gave her an oil change. We are also working on attaching the fairings better as they are not original. And also looking into lowering the seat height as I am a mere 4'11" tall. We have become a regular face at the local bike shop as well. We are both grease monkeys, and so far, the motorcycle is more fun to work on.
Our bike isn't much to look at, but man is she fun to ride!!!

Welcome to the forum.
Glad you finally signed up. Now you can experience the forum at it's best!
The ladies lounge is a great place, as you've seen, but doesn't see that much traffic so most of our ladies participate mainly on the general forum.
Sounds like you have some work cut out for you with that bike. Fixing it yourself as much as you can is the best way to go. You will learn more about the machine you're on that way.
Enjoy your riding and be safe out there.
