Default New to Forums and Riding in General

Hi all. My name is John and I'm from Central California. I'm working on purchasing a 1993 CBR600 F2, so I figured it would be a good idea to get on this forum since I plan on riding it for a while. The only thing is I haven't riden a motorcycle in a long time. In fact, I've never ridden a street bike at all (so please leave some encouraging messages here ). I used to ride dirtbikes, but I expect that this will be a much different style for me. I look forward to meeting some new people on here and hope to get some pictures of MY bike on here once I get it. In the meantime, here is a picture of the bike I'm looking at getting. Just have to wait for my dad to be out of the hospital and my mom to be off chemo.

Hey I'm in the same situation as you, I'm about to buy a 95 F3 from my co-worker, first time riding for me too! I'm waiting to get finished with my MSF class which is actually this weekend!!! I been waiting like a month or two for the whole process of signing up for class and talking to my co-worker about buying the bike, but hopefully soon enough the both of us will be on our bikes enjoying riding! Sorry to hear about your Mom, hope she and your Father get home alright and you get to riding soon! Welcome to the forum! Although its a small pic, from what I can tell the F2 looks pretty nice. ok update on the bike search! I just bought an F1 last night for $300. The whole story is in the F1 section, but I'll post some pictures here too.

Should be fun to get it fixed up a little...I couldn't pass it up for $300
