Default new to the forum...but not cbr's

hi to all i have an 08 silver cbr1000rr that i got while honda was blowing them out in 2010. i currently have 34,000 miles on her and finally decided to get an aftermarket exhaust. i get harrased regularly (i work at harley) for how quietly my bike is so i decided to start making alittle noise. i just purchased a d&d and was quite pleased with the quality and look but once i took my ride home i realized how ear piercingly obnoxious it was. so long story short i wanna stay amercian made and like the look and craftsmanship of FMF. can anyone shed some light on the quality and sound? thanks and good to meet everyone in advance --matt

Welcome to CBRF!!!

I really couldn't comment on the FMF's, i know very little on them to give my two cents. I've seen a some on bike nights with those carbon fiber tips, looks pretty good but i didn't hear them running >_<. I'm sure there will be other members here with experience regarding those.

welcome to the forum matt!

dont take some of the harley bashing too seriously. many of us have them as well. but, as you work for them, you know they bash us as well. it's mostly in good fun. cars are the real enemy to all of us! (but the 1krr will smoke anything they have in a blink of an eye).
lets see the bike.....put up pics. if you need help as to how, there is a sticky in the new member section that explains it.

where are you? we have members all over the world. it's good to know who is in your area.

Man posting pictures on here is like relearning a computer. anyways now that i got it i should be able to cut the time atleast in half lol. Here's some pictures of her, i had to take at work. i just put the FMF on this morning i am an impatient person.....so i got it anyways. its def better than the D&D but equal in quality. so anyone that has the question of how the FMF is, it is awsome and by the way im out of jacksonville, fl
