Hey. My names mike and I just bought an 02 F4i. I've never ridden before and won't until I can take the riders course in about two months. I was wondering, however, if there are any mods that you may suggest? The previous owner put in a fan to counter overheating while idle and a micron exhaust.

hey mike, welcome to the forum. i'd recommend holding off on the mods until you've ridden it a while and discovered what you want for yourself. put some of that money now into some good protective gear.

Hey, Mike. Welcome to CBRF. As Sprock and regener8ed said, proper gear is more important, especially for a new rider. With that being said, I'd like to suggest you look into a set of frame sliders. Almost all of us have dropped our bikes at one time or another and sliders are cheaper to buy and install than new fairings. Don't waste your money on the "no-cut" pieces of crap, chances are they'll result in more serious damage than if you had no sliders at all.
Enjoy the forum and your new bike!

Almost forgot: get a service manual (available for free online) and save money doing your own maintenance.
