Just wanted to say hi to everyone. Just got a 2004 CBR1000. This is the second bike I have owned, the first was a Buell Blast. Whata difference!! I haven't ridden in 3 years, but it all came back very quickly. The bike has a Jardine pipe on it with the power commander tucked nicely under the rear cowling. Frame sliders and bar ends already installed. Now all I have to do to it is get the fender eliminater kit and flush the front turn signals to make it a little sleeker.

hey welcome aboard. What's different between the CBR and the Blast? Got any pics of your bike?

First thing would be the difference in power. The Blast was only 500cc's, so as you can imagine there is a big increase there. the Blast is also more of a sport touring bike so you sit a little more upright. One of the nice things about the CBR is that it's not a single cylinder thumper like the Buell so it runs smoother. I don't have pics yet but will post some soon.

Default Pics of the bike

Here are a few pics I took. Parked next to an 07 today. Not a lot of difference that I noticed.

Nice bike, Jeff. Black looks sharp.
You're right... HUGE difference between that and a blast.
Welcome to the forum, man, and ride safe.
