Default New from FL

Hi everyone. Just bought a 2006 CBR600 yesterday. My husband bought a 2004 CBR1000. We decided to come back to sport bikes after a short jaunt to the dark side (HD). We are in the central FL area and would love to occasionally ride with anyone in our area.

Welcome to the site and back to fun motorcycles.

Since you have experience with the whole Harley thing, thereare somethings I don't get about those people.

What is the reason behind people wearing everything that says HD on it? Isn't it kinda goofy, like Burt Reynolds wearing those 'Trans-Am' jackets in those Bandit movies.

What about the throttle blips when they back up their bikes. What is that all about.

In the winter, why don't they wear a helmet to keep warm instead of a ski mask.

How often do you have to clean one of those things, how long does it take?

Do your ears ring after a while on a bike with straight pipe?

I am not trying to be a wise ***, but I figure that since you have returned to your senses and re-joined the sportbike world you would answer truthfully rather than telling me to ask one of the Warlocks.

By the way, if you every wind up on the East Coast (Canaveral to Melbourne Beach) and need to know of some good places to go, PM me and I may be able to help out.
