new, first bike

Default new, first bike

hey guys just wanted to introduce myself. name's elliot from san marcos tx. just got a 2003 CBR600RR. This is my first bike. Still learning about bikes so figured joining a forum would be a good idea.

She's far from perfect but I told myself I wouldn't get a new bike for my first bike. Just a lil over 12,000 miles and is a dream to ride.

make sure you wear your gear and take classes as soon as you can. im still to take mine.

thanks, yeah I got a full helmet and always wear gloves, proper shoes and jeans, I still need to pick up a riding jacket, it's just so damn hot (105 plus the heat index). It's my daily until I get my truck up and running, then it'll probably still be my daily.

Hi Elliot,

Its pretty hot in San Marcos right now! :O There's some pretty good areas to ride in the Hill Country if you get a chance to head over there. Austin has a pretty good sport bike population as well.

Glad you are enjoying your bike. Good to have you here. Welcome aboard! :-)
