Default New CBR Owner... North Carolina

Whats up everybody? I am a new CBR owner - a 2001 CBR F4i to be exact. Picked it up last week for $3,400, with 11,700 mi. I think I found a pretty good deal, and I even got a Snell aproved helmet with the deal.

I am an avid honda fan, and have been dealing with honda cars for years now. However, This is my first bike. I am coming from a forum that deals with the 4th generation Accord, with over 100,000 members to it's name.
I hope to learn a lot here, I know more than anybody how good of a resource forums can be. I will post pictures as soon as I get them- hopefully the rain will clear up soon.

Nothing is really wrong with the CBR that I picked up.. it needs a good ol' tune up, tighten the chain, and a new windscreen. But thats about it.

I do have one quetion though- i don't know if it's how the bike is- and im just not used to it- but when I crank it for the first time after sitting overnight or for a few hours, i have trouble shifting down into first. I click down, the neutral light turns off, but it pops back into Neutral, never really engaging 1st. Is my buddies 06 600RR does the same thing. Whats up with it? After riding for a few mins, it's fine though.

I look foward to contributing and meeting everybody!
